I picked up this tangerine cropped top from the Bassike store up at Palm Beach.

It is such a fresh shade for summer and I love pairing it back with white to really make the color pop!

The shades I was given by RayBan as part of their ambassador programme - they have a polarised lens which are not only the highest protection but give a super cool view on the world when you look through them.

The bag is one of my faves and I picked it up in London.

I spent today down at Whale beach having a beautiful lunch on the waters edge and watching all the surfers battle and incredible swell.

The Wedge is a favourite surf spot among the locals up at the northern beaches so you get to watch some amazing talent which is best enjoyed with a rose in one hand and your feet in the sand.

These shoes were one of the most rewarding finds on my last trip to Tokyo.

Tokyo is wonderful for shopping and sourcing unique designer buys as well as incredible vintage but when it come to buying shoes in larger sizes ( and by larger I mean a size 9 ) it gets a little tricky!

So many times on that trip my heart would start beating at a thousand times per minute as my eye spotted an incredible pair of shoes on the shop floors.... only to be disappointed yet again when asking if they carry any larger sizes.

You then of course inevitably find yourself saying without thinking " Oh..thats fine I might still just try that smaller size and see if it fits" ...not that it ever would but just so as to prolong the day dream a little longer.

So you can imagine my glee when I found a pair I loved and the shoe fit! Success at last.

This was taken on our last day in London before heading back to Australia for the summer!! The grey day was typical of what the weather had been everyday that week and all I could think about was the summer sun.

I am wearing a Zara maxi I brought a while back in London, put in my cupboard and totally forgot about- - it makes a great layering piece for fall/winter and has long sleeves as well as a split giving a good play on proportions.

I picked up the dream catcher single earring in Urban Outfitters a few months ago too and had been waiting for an opportunity to bring it out...ahh the joys of packing, you always find so many things you had completely forgotten about!

This was taken on the way to Yum Cha on bakers street at local favourite famous for their salt & pepper squid and delicious steaming dumplings.

My grandmother used to say to me that the only way to truely keep warm when the mercury drops is to have your head covered - not being a fan of traditional winter headware such as the mishappen beanie or russian fur hat I never really took noticed preferring to suffer from head chills instead.
So you can imagine my excitement when I came across this wool turban at urban outfitters! Practical & stylish it has kept me warm ever since!

One of my favourite stores for vintage in London is Blitz, which opened earlier this year on Handbury street just off from brick lane.
With a cafe/ bar and library area as part of the offering you could easily spend an entire afternoon there browsing through their endless racks of amazing thrifted finds.
I still favour my navy leather loafers, chanel bag and gentleman's tweed blazer that I picked up there during the summer as some of my best finds of the season..a must visit for all vintage lovers.

I went to check out the Dazed & Confused 20 yr retrospective at Sommerset House this week.
It was one of those rare, perfect autumn London days, crisp and beaming with beautiful sunlight so I dared to venture out without my huge over coat and million layers and went for this simple layered look. In my books as long as you have cashemere on you somewhere you will always be ok when the winter chill picks up and this ice blue jumper from Uniqlo was a steal when I picked it up one chilly morning in walking in Manhattan.

I went into H&M last week to check out the Versace collab and in an effort to escape the crowds found myself upstairs in the home section.
Although H&M home launched last year it is only available in two flagship stores and must be one of London's best kept secrets!
I found extremely affordable accessories for the home including french themed linen, pillowcases and graphic print towels etc. I fell in love with this cute toiletry set and took them along on my trip to the South Of France this week as well as buying a couple of extras for chrissie presents xx

I do love the South of France and would move here any day given the chance! Its my 6th trip here this summer and I still cant get enough!

My favourite thing is getting into the village early in the morning for une petite cafe and joining the locals for their daily shop.

Shopping for groceries in France is almost a religious ritual, only the best will do and the amount of effort and time that is put into purchasing the best baguette from the right baker, to hand selecting each individual tomato or piece of cheese is so fascinating - not to mention the best part of trying it all as you go!

Unlike London, the Cote D'azur hasn't quite settled into winter temperatures yet but its always fresh in the morning so I was thankful that I brought my latest wooly purchase this cosy grey cashmere knit to keep warm.

We walked past Bryant Park on our way up Midtown to check out the De Kooning exhibit at Moma...it is such a beautiful park and a nice respite from the manic tooting traffic.

Packing for my recent trip to New York I realised that I did not own a pair of shoes that were actually comfortable to walk in.

Flew in to NYC today was so excited to come back after so many years. We headed straight down to Williamsburg to meet some friends for brunch at Egg and ended up hanging out all day.

I spent a good few hours rummaging through all the amazing vintage and thrifted furniture stores and then bascially we went on a culinary/bar tour of the area. My faves places were Hotel Delmano were we had drinks before an incredible dinner at Cafe Colette.

I don't really even count these small items as 'purchases' when shopping rather as necessary investments or staple items kind of like milk and bread...unquestionable in need.

For some reason after living in London for a while I have subsituted all my bigger bags for a ever growing collection of clutches.
There is something so streamline about them, for one their lack of space makes you really edit down your things to bare necessities, which when you are travelling around town often makes alot of sense.

Recently I have moved away from big statement jewellery and been collecting finer pieces.

The highlight of my trip to Krakov was a drive out to the town Of Radlow where we visited our family estate, Radlow, that my grandparents lived in before the war.
Its crazy to think that my family would of inherited this if the Germans hadn't taken it over during the war..it is now government owned and has been turned into a Polish boarding school.
One of the only rooms kept in its origional condition was the beautiful ballroom.
I loved being in that room imagining the orchestra playing on the balcony as my grandparents hosted one of their famous winter balls.

This look was inspired by the traditional Provencal prints and colors of the region.

The dress is actually an old fave from Topshop Vintage that I picked up on a buying trip to London a couple of years ago.
The scarf is also Topshop which bought whilst in London last week it was part of the Edited Collection curated by Katie Shillingford the fashion editor at Dazed & Confused Magazine ...I love the Alexander Mcqueen-esque skull print!

A few pics from the beautiful villa I was staying at in the Cote D'Azur, it was set atop a hillside village Tourette Sur Loup and had incredible views across the valley.

This Villa was designed by one of the reknowned architects from the area Robert Dallas and I adored the Provencal style interiors.

Everything is simple and restrained but perfectly balanced with accents of print, color, and stunning antique furniture pieces & objets.

First day in Cote D'azur was spent of course by the pool!
I couldn't fathom getting out the hairdryer so went for the good ol' slick back for dinner that night. I was just sent the first Citrus stretch dress from the SS11 Nina Maya collection and couldn't wait to get it on!

Le Musee Du Lourve

We walked though the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries on the way past the Lourve..they are my favourite gardens in Paris.

The thing I most appreciate about Parisian style is their nonchalant chic..they always look imaculatly dressed but in an effortless way.

I went for a monochromatic theme here wearing Nina Maya SS11 white top, Zara Jeans, black vintage bag and Trippen shoes.
The shades I stole from my BF who picked them up that morning at the markets in Montmartre.

Le Bal Cafe, Paris

I stopped by Paris for the weekend on the way back to London from Provence.

My favourite thing to do in Paris is to walk around Le Marais and the Left bank there are so many adorable boutiques not to mention Brasserie's!

One of my friends Alice just opened Le Bal Cafe a super cool little cafe in Montmartre in the Magnum photography gallery..we went there for their famous Brunch on Sunday and tried the Kedgerre ( a spiced rice dish with smoked haddock ) I had never had it before and am now obssesed with it!
We finished the meal off with the financier de Figues freshly baked that morning ( Pictured above )

So delish and defintely worth a visit if you ever find yourself with a free afternoon in Belle Paris.

La Petite Bergide

These shots were taken on the last day of our stay at 'Le Petite Bergide' the lovely villa we stayed at in Provence.

The sun was just setting over the vineyards at the back of the house and the light was so soft and we were just about to sit down for an appertif by the pool...so relaxing!

Here I'm wearing a thrifted vintage floral jumpsuit from Blitz , Shoreditch. Some new bracelets I have been working on through the holidays for Nina Maya Emporium, a vintage boater hat I picked up at that markets in Vaison La Romaine and Dior nail polish in denim blue.

Poolside in Provence

So I am a little bit obssessed with the color mulberry which has proven to be a key color trend for winter..but when I saw these mulberry mini shorts in Zara as part of their Fall collection I struggled to imagine how I would brave the cold wet London weather in them.

To solve the problem I brought them with me to sunny Provence were they were perfect for some poolside lounging.

I have teamed them back here with my Tigerlily cotton voile shirt, Paul Smith printed bikini top and my fave Sonia Rykiel Butterfly sunglasses.

As much as I love wearing shoes having a few days off, wearing nothing but bare feet was pure pleasure.

Another magical day in Provence starting at the local markets in Nyon..where I found some great new additions for a new upcoming concept boutique at shop.ninamaya.com.

We then stumbled on this beautiful little hilltop village Ville Dieu and found a lovely little bistro for lunch.

I have been working on a few new jewellery pieces for the site..handmade friendship bracelets using swarovski elements, sterling silver and handwoven silk ... i am wearing a few above.

A week in Provance

I just finished off the the most incredible week in Provence staying as a guest at a friends villa.

We were incredibly well situated nestled amongst historic hill tops villages, some of the worlds most famous wine regions such as Chateau Neuf Du Pape and Chablis and right in the middle of the Truffle area.

I have never consumed so much good cheese , wine, olives & truffles in my life.

One of the highlights was an incredible 10km bike ride through the vineyards as the sun set behind the hills...C'est La Vie

While the exhibition Masters of Style: Celebrating the stories behind Italian Fashion was a little disapointing the grounds of this extraordinary building were not and the chilled roses on the balcony bar overlooking the Thames sure made up for it!

After months of travelling and carrying around my different currencies in a myriad of hopeless glasses cases come make shift wallets I decided to bite the bullet and go and spend some money on an item in which to carry money...yes the old fashion coin purse.

The problem is I really dislike the designs of most coin purses and dithery grandma type wallets are even worse! So when I came across this little beauty in Prada it seemed to tick every box!

Went and checked out the flowers markets along Columbia road followed by the Brick Lane Markets in Shoreditch over the weekend. It was like one amazing street carnival with so many incredible vintage shops and such yummy food stalls!! Found these little mozzarella & tomato empanada's so addictive.

I wore my new floral print dress from Edited @Topshop with my Francesco Morichetti boots and even got style hunted by Company Magazine UK.

I go through so many stages with jewellery, from show pieces to absolute minimalistic simple pieces.

At the moment I am loving rings epescially those with stones and a unique vintage feel.

I was recently given this beautiful green stone bracelet as well as the agate and gold ring from my late Grandmother.

I havn't stopped wearing them...I really appreciate the sense of history in these pieces and can imagine her wearing them back in Poland at a ball in one of the grand palaces during the 1930's.

I went to check out the V&A today..their permanent collection of jewellery through the ages is amazing!

You could spend all day in those galleries lusting over the diamonds, gold & precious stones as well as some very cool modern designs.

The book shop there is also to die for! So many incredible design & art books I had to use serious restraint on myself not to run wild.

I picked up these rose jeans and paisley print top on my recent layover in HongKong..they actually have a Zara at the airport there which is a serious concern if you are that way inclined.

Felt like I needed a bit of color & print to jolt me awake this morning hence the stripe draped dress.

I had literally just landed after a 24hr flight back from Australia for an extremely short 4 day visit..Talk about cabin fever.

The theory is that you need to get as much sunshine as possible to combat jet lag, however with the weather in England that proved rather difficult over the past few days.

Port Eliot Festival, Cornwall

The Port Eliot Festival was the most delightful weekend away...set amongst the breathtakingly beautiful grounds of an eccentric aristocrats manor.
There were all kinds of incredible gypsy caravans, beautiful vintage stores, and even a Hermes tent where they would style you up with their amazing signature silk scarfs.

Far from you usual festival fare the gourmet food on offer was divine! We went from oysters and lychee bellini's to truffle infused mushroom risotto and ended up dining at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen tent at twilight...

My favourite discovery was'The Wardobe Department' where the best of british fashion gathered, presented their wares, talked about their experiences and even styled you up in all sorts of fantastic fashionable creations. I was lucky enough to have a chat and photograph with Babara Hulanicki, founder of the iconic 70's brand BIBA.

It was honestly the most magical day and unlike anything I have ever been to before.

A must do for all visiting London next summer.

After a couple of days holiday with my BF in sunny Nice I certainly did feel like I was walking on air so when I found these shoes in Desert boutique it was love at first site!! Coming from a design background I love items that have a slightly off kilter feel and these shoes had it in bucketloads!
The are handmade in Italy but of German design and are surprisingly comfortable to walk in!

The bag was also a new purchase from the same boutique, a beautiful soft kakhi suede slouchy satchel from Great By Sandie Paris .

I came across this super cool glasses shop in Nice today "..For your beautiful eyes" which sells rare vintage glasses from the 1940's and 50's that are in mint condition and have never been worn.
So many amazing styles I loved playing in there and trying them all out.
It always amazes me when travelling around Europe, especially Italy & France, how when every little town or village you come across no matter how small will always have a glasses shop selling rare vintage style or the most on trend frames..they sure know a thing or two about shades.

Ok so its not much of an outfit post but it is what I was wearing most of yesterday! Having so much fun frolicking around the Cote D'azur that I just extended my trip to stay till Monday!!

Had a little look around the beautiful boutiques on rue Alphonse Karr and came across this fabulous store Desert... incredible selection of designers french and international... picked up a couple of things as it was summer sales after all... pics to come!
